Perceptual Shift

Perceptual Shift is a series of three works, Husk, Schism and Portal completed during Unit 3. These have been

put together with Fissure, a work completed in Unit 2 but that now has a reimagined more sculptural form, something

that developed out of my Unit 3 studio practice. All these works explore our relationship with our bodies at

times of ‘bodily doubt’ and vulnerability. The aim of my work is to engender ideas through sensation, perceptions about

what it is to be human, and to live in a mortal body in a precarious world.

the Museum of London and the Royal College of Physicians.

Alongside the works Perceptual Shift and connected to my personal practiceI have realised a collective artwork

during Unit 3, Lockdown, 2020 link.  The work is the result of an idea developed earlier this year when

everybody's lives were severely restricted by the global pandemic.
